How to avoid Online fraud/ cheating when you receive SMS on your mobile - (Smishing)

Recently my wife received an SMS on her phone from a number stating that her SBI account has been blocked due to KYC. A link was provided to update kyc. This was from mobile number 8016734776.I told her not to click the link or call the number as it may result in financial loss. This was phishing scam to take information and make you do mistake. No bank will sms you through mobile number. They have a centralized message system.Best is to go to bank and get confirmation,if you are confused.

These phishing attempts first started out as phone calls and emails, but now cybercriminals can also reach you via SMS (text message) through a popular phishing scam dubbed “smishing.” A good general rule of thumb for a text from someone you don't know is to just ignore it or delete it.

I am attaching a video, which has screenshot of the SMS sent. Please beware and avoid getting trapped.Pass on the message to your  near and dear ones.
